A world map of saunas anyone can walk into
Saunakartta exists for travellers who want a proper sauna in an unfamiliar city. Every pin is a sauna you can actually use: pay at the door, book a session, or drop by the campsite.
How a sauna gets on the map
- 1. You describe it in free text. No account, no login — just tell us what you know.
- 2. A research agent reads it. It searches the web for the sauna, gathers the address, price and opening details, and checks them against our criteria.
- 3. It lands on the map. If the sauna is real and public, it is added right away and marked unverified.
- 4. An admin verifies it. After a human check the pin becomes verified. You can filter the map to verified saunas only.

- · Public saunas open to anyone who pays an entry fee
- · Saunas bookable for private use at a fair per-session or per-hour price
- · Campsite and camping area saunas
- · Hotel saunas that non-guests can also use
- · Saunas inside spas, wellness centres and swimming pools
Not accepted
- · Saunas that can only be rented for a whole day
- · Private or residential saunas
- · Members-only saunas with no public access
- · Anything that cannot be confirmed from sources online
